Cypris decaryi — Broodbakker 1984a: 30, 32, table I.
Synonyms: Cypris ravenala Brehm 1934; Cypris labiata Rome 1962 .
Type locality: Androy, Madagascar (23º40’ S, 44º02’ E). The type material appears to be misplaced. Martens (1990) suggests that specimens of Cypris labiata Rome 1962 are the syntypes since this author made the synonymy with C. decaryi . Syntype — RBINS, O.C. 568.
In Venezuela: at the following locality according to Broodbakker (1984a): NUEVA ESPARTA State —no location details, La Asunción, Margarita Island (GN 11º02’00” N, 63º51’46” W) .
Remarks: in the Neotropics, it has been recorded at Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Barthelemy (Triebel 1961), Puerto Rico, Haiti, Venezuela (Broodbakker 1984a), Brazil, Suriname (Martens & Behen 1994).
