Chlamydotheca leuckarti var. pallida (Claus 1892) G. W. Müller 1912

Pachycypris leuckarti var. pallida — Claus 1892: 59 [205], table XII; fig. 9.

Type locality: the material comes from Espino Pond (“ Laguna de Espino ” is an old artificial pond that does not exist today), Los Rosales, Caracas, Distrito Capital, Venezuela (GN 10º28’50” N, 66º53’57” W). Part of the material is deposited in the ZMC .

In Venezuela: corresponds to the type locality. Another locality (Claus 1892): CARABOBO State — Las Trincheras, near Puerto Cabello (GN 10º18’21” N, 68º05’16” W) .

Remarks: this variety has only been observed in Venezuela. Probably Sharpe (1910), Martens & Behen (1994), and Karanovic (2012) when reporting C. leuckarti, actually refer to the variety described by Claus (1892).
