Type Locality: Ethiopia, "Central Ogaden, 3000 feet [914 m]"; identified as "District immediately north of Imi and Karanle on the Webi Shebeli, Ogaden, Ethiopia, about 6°30'N, 42°30'E " by Moreau et al. (1946:437).

Vernacular Names: Gunther's Dikdik.
