Type Locality: "Habitat: the plains of Tibet, amid ravines and low bare hills", restricted to China, "Hundes district of Tibet " (Lydekker, 1914 b:31) "but more likely the district north of Sikkim, where most of Hodgson's specimens were obtained after 1844" (Groves, 1967 a:148) .
Vernacular Names: Tibetan Gazelle.
Distribution: China (Gansu, Sichuan, Tibetan Plateau including Qinghai) and India (Ladak and seasonally in Sikkim).
Conservation: IUCN – Least Concern.
