Type material of Octonoba sanyanensis (examined). Holotype ♀ (coll. no. San 2011-1), CHINA: Hainan Island, Sanya, Sanya College Campus, (coll. no. San 2011-2), leg. A. T. Barrion et al .; Paratype: 1♀, same data as holotype .

Description and diagnosis. See Zhu et al. (1989) for a description and diagnosis of both sexes.

Distribution. China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan).

Comments. The type material of O. sanyanensis was examined and no differences between U. guangxiensis and O. sanyanensis were observed. Thus, we consider O. sanyanensis syn. nov. to be a junior synonym of U. guangxiensis .
