Type material of Tetragnatha zhuzhenrongi (examined). Holotype ♀ (coll. no. Ha2011-8), CHINA: Hainan Island, Haikou, 9.IV.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al.

Description and diagnosis. See Zhu et al. (2003) for a redescription and diagnosis of the species.

Distribution. China (Guangxi, Hainan, Yunnan), India, Indonesia.

Comments. The holotype female of T. zhuzhenrongi was examined and no differences in habitus or genitalic morphology between T. hasseltii and T. zhuzhenrongi could be found. Therefore, we consider T. zhuzhenrongi syn. nov. to be a junior synonym of T. hasseltii .
