Type material of Telamonia shepardi (examined). Holotype ♀ (coll. no. Dap 32), CHINA: Hainan Island, Dapo Town, Dapo Village, 28.III.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al .; Paratypes: 1 ♁ (coll. no. Dap 37), 1 ♀ (coll. no. Dap 33) and 1 juvenile (coll. no. Dap 34), same data as holotype .

Distribution. China (Guangxi, Hainan, Taiwan, Yunnan), India, Nepal, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Comments. The type specimens of T. shepardi were examined and no differences could be found to separate it from T. festiva, so we propose the synonymy of T. shepardi syn. nov. with T. festiva .
