Type material of Neobrettus heongi (examined). Holotype ♁ (coll. no. Dap 47), CHINA: Hainan Island, Dapo Town, Dapo Village, 25.III–9.IV.2012, leg. A. T. Barrion et al .; Paratypes: 2♁ 3♀ 3 juvenile, same data as holotype .

Distribution. China (Hainan), India, Bhutan and Malaysia.
Comments. The type material of N. heongi was examined and no differences were observed between the males and females of N. tibialis and N. heongi . Thus, N. heongi syn. nov. is treated here as a junior synonym of N. tibialis .
