Type material of Phintella paminta (examined). Holotype ♀ (coll. no. Dap 46), CHINA: Hainan Island, Dapo Town, Dapo Village, 25.III–9.IV.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al.

Distribution. Widespread in tropical and subtropical Asian, including China (Anhui, Hainan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Qinghai, Sichuan, Taiwan, Tibet, Yunnan, Zhejiang,), Pakistan, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and Indonesia, and additionally also introduced to the USA.

Comments. The type material of Phintella paminta was examined and its somatic and genitalic morphology were consistent with that of Phintelloides versicolor . Thus, we consider Phintella paminta syn. nov. to be the junior synonym of Phintelloides versicolor .
