Type:— GUYANA. Demerara: s. loc., s.d., ex hort., Messrs. Loddiges s.n. (lectotype, designated here: K-L s.n.!).

Notes: — Lindley (1838e) described N. micrantha without indicating the holotype. An exsiccate that has with the author’s handwriting and an illustration corresponding to the information described in the protologue was found in K-L and it is believed that it may have been one of the samples used by the author in the description of the species; therefore, it is designated here as a lectotype.
