34. Notylia koehleri Schlechter (1912: 393) .
Type — PERU. Chanchamayo: Branco River, Santa Tereza farm, 1906, E. Köhler s.n. (B destroyed; Field Museum negative No. F18358!). Neotype (designated here):— PERU. Chanchamayo. Sapito, 17 August 1960, F. Woytkowski 5838 (MO 1761235!).
Notes: — Schlechter (1912) described N. koehleri based on the collection of E. Kohler s.n., the specimen being deposited in B and destroyed during World War II (Butzin 1978, 1980). Only a photograph of the type specimen was found in the Field Museum’s negatives collection F 1835. The species is known only from the type specimen (Roque & León 2006) and is considered an unconfirmed taxon due to the lack of additional collections (Brako & Zarucchi 1993). Thus, in the absence of a specimen or illustration, a neotype is required. The sample from the type locality and deposited in MO is designated here as a neotype. The sample designated here also represents the rediscovery of the species after more than 100 years.
