25. Notylia flexuosa Schlechter (1925: 142) .

Type:— BRAZIL. Amazonas: Tefé [“Teffé”], Solimões River, December 1913, G. Hübner 16 (B destroyed). Neotype (designated here):— BRAZIL. Amazonas: Negro River, 11 September 1962, A.P. Duarte 7335 (RB 117238!).

Notes: — Schlechter (1925) described N. flexuosa without indicating the herbarium where the deposit was made, but it is known that he preferred the collection at B. It is believed that the type specimen of N. flexuosa was destroyed during World War II (Butzin 1978, 1980). The sample collected by Duarte 7335 near the type locality, deposited in the RB collection, is designated as a neotype.
