4. Notylia amesii Smith & Harris (1937: 40) .

Type:— GUYANA. Upper Demerara-Berbice between Demerara and Berbice Rivers, 15–19 July 1922, J.S. de la Cruz Rodríguez 1674 (holotype: GH 76304!, GH 7316 microscope slide; isotypes: NY barcode 02361554!, US 1190173!).

Notes: —In the protologue, Smith & Harris (1937) indicated the collections GH and NY for the respective deposit of the holotype and isotype of N. amesii, as well as the collection of the AMES herbarium for the paratype. The holotype is conserved as an exsiccate and as a microscope slide, thus in two forms (Turland et al. 2018: Art. 8.3). Another isotype was also located in the US collection that was not indicated in the protologue. The paratype derived from the Klug 999 sample was located preserved in the NY collection, differently from what was reported by the author in the protologue in AMES.

Additional material examined:— PERU. Loreto: Maynas, Mishuyachu, February–March 1930, G. Klug 999 (paratype: AMES not found, US 1190173!).
