Distribution. Argentina, Paraguay (likely Asunción: Santísima Trinidad, see Lindner 1928a: 94).
Comments. This species is first mentioned as a new species but without a description in Lindner (1928a: 94, 97), in which he says he has an additional female from Paraguay. Both syntypes from Argentina are currently the only specimens of this species deposited in the SMNS collection, so we suspected that the additional specimen of Nemotelus catharistis Lindner, 1929, which is from Paraguay, is at the DEI collection, as type specimens of his new taxa described in his 1928’s paper are all at the DEI collection.
