Distribution. This is a West Palearctic and Afrotropical species, occupying western and central Europe (Neu et al. 2018), and the Maghreb and central Africa (Tobias & Tobias 2009; Hajji et al. 2013; Mabrouki et al. 2020). In the study area, this species was collected as a larva from a single station at 1077 m a.s.l. This is a new record for Algeria.
