Rabdophaga iteobia (Kieffer, 1890)
Material: Ø, Indre Østfold: Trøgstad, Gravstjern, 59.633786°N 11.334418°E ± 10m, 4 August 2022, on Salix caprea, 12L, leg. HE, coll. NHMO .
Biology: The orange larvae develop gregariously in galled shoots of Salix spp. ( Salicaceae). The leaves of the infected shoots are more or less bundled together, though without forming a proper “willow rose”, and are abnormally hairy. Univoltine; pupation and hibernation in the soil.
Distribution: Widespread in Europe including Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
