Clinodiplosis cilicrus (Kieffer, 1889)

Biology and notes: The orange larvae live as saprophages on dead plant tissue. They can be found in many different situations, including in wilting flowers and in the abandoned galls of other species. The two records reported here were identified based on the morphology of the larvae and/or the imagines, but see note on the genus on the challenges regarding Clinodiplosis . The species is redescribed in Skuhravá (1973).
Distribution: Widespread Palearctic, including Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
