Type Locality: SW Tanzania, Rungwe Mtn, Ilolo (09°10’S, 33°37’E, as per W. Verheyen et al., 2003).
Vernacular Names: Glover Allen's Dasymys.
Distribution: Apparently endemic to southern part of the Eastern Arc Mtns (Mt. Rungwe) and the mountainous western rim of the Rift Valley in Dem. Rep. Congo from the Kivu Volcanos in the north to the Kalemi (Albertville) region in the south (W. Verheyen et al., 2003), and probably farther south in the Marungu Mtns.
