Type Locality: Dem. Rep. Congo, Equateur, Lukolela.
Vernacular Names: Least Praomys.
Distribution: Recorded only from the type locality.
Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Still only known by the three specimens in Hatt’s sample. Originally described as a subspecies of P. jacksoni (Hatt, 1934 b), and then treated as a subspecies of P. tullbergi (F. Petter, 1975 c), minor is a distinct species in the P. jacksoni complex (Van der Straeten and Dieterlen, 1987; Van der Straeten and Dudu, 1990; Van der Straeten and Kerbis Peterhans, 1999).
