Cardiastethus obscuriceps Poppius, 1909: 19 (as new species).

Distribution in Iran. Guilan (Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000), Razavi Khorasan (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1998), Iran (no exact locality cited) (Péricart 1996).

General distribution. This species is widely distributed in Palaearctic part of Asia (Georgia, Iran, Asian part of Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, Taiwan, Italy, Korea, Japan and Far East of Russia), Nepal (Kment & Bryja 2001).
