13. Liljeborgia dellavallei Stebbing, 1906
Materials examined. 2 individuals; Station Vas. 41(2).
Distribution. Mediterranean (Bellan-Santini & Ruffo 2003). The species was reported from Cyprus by Kocatas et al. (2001) and Pavloudi et al. (2016). In Vasiliko Bay (current study), it is considered as a rare species (FI: 2.38 %).
Ecology. Liljeborgia del lavallei was found on rocks and stones, in soft-bottom sediments (mud, mud-and mixture) at 4–145 depth (Kocat as et al. 2001) and in association with sponges (Pavlou di et al. 2016).In Vasiliko Bay it was found at 40 m depth in muddy sand substrate with organic matter being 11.119 %, in association with C. prolifera, C. cylindracea and H. stipulacea . The station was in “moderate” ecological status according to the Bentix Index.
