Andrena (Ulandrena) waschulzi Strand, 1921
Examination of material in the DEI raised the issue that the name of A. (Ulandrena) schulzi Strand, 1921 (and its variety A. schulzi ab. clypeopicta Strand, 1921) has been consistently misspelt (e.g. Warncke 1965; 1967; 1973; Gusenleitner & Schwarz 2002). In print (and also on the original type labels; Figure 50), it appears as “ Andrena W.A. Schulzi ” (Strand 1921: 279). Unfortunately, it is clear that the name should therefore be Andrena waschulzi following ICZN article 32.5.2.4.4 (ICZN 1999); the logic employed in the comparative case of Tetralonia wfkirbyi (Kohl, 1906) is followed here (Straka et al. 2017).
