This species is similar to A. saharae in general appearance but can be separated by its pronotum with median carina concave, sharply crossed by posterior sulcus at posterior fifth; prosternal process with anterior margin rounded (Chopard, 1943).

Localities: Fezzan: Al Barkat, Ghat.

Distribution: Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, S.W. Europe.
