Distribution in Iran. Golestan (Jakovlev 1877; Oshanin 1906, 1912), Khorasan (Nateq Golestan & Modarres Awal 2012), Tehran (Hoberlandt 1997), West Azarbaijan (Nateq Golestan, 2004; Nateq Golestan et al. 2004, 2010a, b, c, 2011), Iran (no locality cited) (Safavi 1959; Modarres Awal 1997b; Rider 2006).

General distribution. Afghanistan (Hoberlandt 1984), Mediterraneo Asian extending to China and Mongolia .

Host plants. On Apiaceae plants (Nateq Golestan et al. 2010a), Asteraceae, Daucus sp. ( Apiaceae) (Nateq Golestan et al. 2011), Pimpinella anisum, Carum copticum (both Apiaceae) (Nateq Golestan & Modarres Awal 2012); on several Apiaceae ( Bupleurum sp., Trinia sp., Pimpinella sp., Laserpitum sp.) (Péricart 2010).
