DISTRIBUTION: S. E. British Columbia and W. Alberta (Canada) to N.E. Oregon, C. Idaho, and C. Montana (U.S.A.).

COMMENT: Subgenus Urocitellus; see Gromov et al., 1965: 196. Hall, 1981:381, included Urocitellus in subgenus Spermophilus .
