This species is readily distinguished, being black, and covered with a glittering silvery pile; the legs are dark rufo-testaceous, with the anterior tibiae, knees and tarsi pale testaceous; the tips of the antennae, the anterior margin of the face, and the mandibles, pale testaceous; its length is 3 1/2 lines.
