Type. Male. VIETNAM as Tonkin. Fragmentary. Labelled: 1. Hand written not decipherable; 2. Handwritten ‘ Colophotia’; 3. Handwritten ‘voir praeusta’; 4. Colophotia elongata n.sp. (MNHN Pic collection Box 47) .

Diagnosis. The type is dorsally yellow with black tipped elytra; the ventral surface is missing, presumably eaten. It has not been possible to distinguish any useful features of this species from Pic’s description, apart from the small size (5mm long) and the dorsal colour.
