Eccritotarsus cruxnigra Stål, 1860: 58 (original description).

Material examined. COLOMBIA. Huila: 1 ♀, Pitalito, Vda. Yamboró, Tecno Parque SENA, 1285 m, 1°51N, 76°0.6’W, net sweeping, 22.ix.2014 (M. Cabrera) (UNAB 1899) .

Diagnosis. Body yellow and black. Head and pronotum in dorsal view and xyphus yellow. Clavus black with silvery pruinosity. Corium yellow with a transverse, irregular, black spot extending to the clavus and embolium. Embolium yellow with a dark brown to black apex. Cuneus whitish with apex black. Pronotum pilose. Body length 4.00– 4.80 mm (Stål 1860; Ferreira & Henry 2011).

Associated/host plants. Unknown.

Distribution. Argentina (Carpintero & Carvalho 1993), Brazil (Stål 1860; Carvalho 1957), Ecuador (Carvalho & Afonso 1977), Peru (Carvalho & Ferreira 1972; Carvalho & Afonso 1977).— Colombia (Huila).

Comments. This is the first record of this species in Colombia.
