Ecritotarsus gallegoi Carvalho, 1984c: 14 (original description).

Material examined. Type material. Holotype: COLOMBIA. Antioquia: 1 ♀, San Antonio de Prado, weeds, 1.ix.1981 (G. Morales) (MEFLG 3693).

Diagnosis. Body white and black. Head in dorsal view, antennal segments I (except base) and II, pronotum and xyphus black. Clavus black basally and apically, white at middle. Corium white with an irregular black spot (rounded adjacent to the claval suture and tapering towards the embolium) extending to the embolium. Embolium white with a dark brown to black spot apically. Body length 4.0 mm.

Distribution. Colombia (Antioquia) (Carvalho 1984c).
