Bothrophorella Reuter, 1907a: 40 (original description). Type species: Eccritotarsus niger Stål, 1860: 58 . Monotypic.

Diagnosis. Body black shiny; glabrous. Head elongate, clypeus acutely projecting. Hemelytron with cuneal fracture open. (Carvalho & Ferreira 1995; Ferreira & Henry 2011); lateral margin slightly convex.
