Remarks. The record of “ Velia rivulorum Fabr. (forma macroptera)” (De Carlini 1901, Sangiorgi 1903) very likely refers to winged specimens of V. mariae (or possibly to another species of the subgenus Plesiovelia Tamanini, 1955), because the identification was made prior the description of V. mariae by Tamanini (1970, 1971: proposal of the nomen novum); further, V. rivulorum is a western Mediterranean species. In any case, V. rivulorum can be excluded with certainty from the fauna of Cephalonia.
