Remarks. In addition to the characters suggested by Pic (1938), M. depressus seems to be separated from the imago Platerodrilus species by the narrowing proximally terminal ventrite and non-sclerotised laterally proximal portion of the also narrowing proximally phallobase, with less manifest median proximal incision (Figs 18, 20).
