Genus Lyropaeus Waterhouse, 1878

Lyropaeus Waterhouse, 1878: 104 .

Type species: Lycus fallax Walker, 1858 (by original designation).

Diagnosis. Lyropaeus can be separated from Lybnopaeus by the convex anteriorly prosternum, long uniform spiculum gastrale, narrow tarsomeres 1–4 and elongate, narrowing proximally phallobase, non-dentate parameres and the laterally widened median lobe of the male genitalia, with distally acute basal apodemes penetrating only slightly into the phallobase (Figs 9–10).

Distribution. South India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Philippines, Indochina and Sundaland (Masek et al., 2014).
