Genus Atamania Kazantsev, 2005
Atamania Kazantsev, 2005: 8 .
Type species: Atamania tembeling Kazantsev, 2005 (by original designation).
Horakiella Bocakova, 2006: 134, syn. nov.
Type species: Horakiella pahangana Bocakova, 2006 (by original designation).
Remarks. Although Atamania externally resembles Platerodrilus, distinguishable by the short mandibles and less deflexed at sides pronotum (Figs 67, 68), it (as Horakiella) is placed in a different clade by the DNA analysis (Masek et al., 2015). Horakiella pahangana Bocakova, 2006, the type species of Horakiella Bocakova, 2006, described without comparison to Atamania, is apparently congeneric with A. tembeling, the type species of Atamania: the only character in which the two taxa seem to be different is the non-incised distally terminal tergite of Horakiella (Bocakova, 2006); while this character itself is not critical for generic delimitation, as present in other unrelated lineages and not an apomorphy of the genus, there is a possibility that the miniature distal incision was overlooked in the distally semi-folded terminal tergite of H. pahangana; a comparison of these two species, both from Pahang, Malaysia, is needed to check if they are not even conspecific. Therefore, Horakiella Bocakova, 2006, syn. nov. is proposed to be considered a junior synonym of Atamania Kazantsev, 2005 .
Distribution. Malay Peninsula and northern Borneo.
