Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 16). Wingspan 15.0 mm. Agonopterix arctica is distinguishable by the small triangular socii in the male genitalia (Fig. 39). It is similar to A. conterminella (Zeller, 1839) in the male genitalia, and can be distinguished by the cell with neither an arched black stripe at middle nor a white spot on its outer margin. In A. conterminella, the cell has an arched black stripe at middle and has a white spot on the outer margin (Huisman 2012: 84, fig. 12).
Distribution. China (Xinjiang), Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia (Lvovsky 2001a).
