Ephestia mistralella (Millière, 1874) **

MATERIAL EXAMINED. 6 Ƌ, W env. of Luga, 21–22.vii.2015.

REMARKS. I found a local population of this species in Luga polygon. All collected specimens were attracted to light in a dry sandy place (Fig. 1). Their phenotype corresponds to the phenotype of ssp. moebiusi Rebel, 1906, a subspecies, distributed in Norway, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Estonia and Finland. According to U. Roesler (1965), the nominotypical subspecies inhabits France and Corsica and subspecies metoenella Zerny, 1927 is found in Spain, Portugal and North Africa. The record of E. mistralella in Leningrad Province is the first record of this species in Russia.

DISTRIBUTION. Europe (middle belt and southern areas) eastwards to Leningrad Province of Russia, North Africa (Roesler 1965, 1973; Karsholt & Razowski 1996; Leraut 2014; Aarvik et al. 2017).
