Type Locality: Equatorial Guinea, Rio Muni, Benito River .

Vernacular Names: Short-eared African Dormouse.

Synonyms: Graphiurus (Graphiurus) schwabi G. M. Allen 1912 .

Distribution: WC and C Africa: Southern Cameroon south to Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, and NE and SC Dem. Rep. Congo (Holden, 1996 b).

Conservation: IUCN – Data Deficient.
