DIAGNOSIS

Treelet to 2-4 m tall; infructescence, a solitary, terminal subglobose syncarp; drupes obovoid truncate, slightly compressed, with deep and close ridges longitudinally; carpels 6-15-locular; pileus apex truncate with an apical concavity, flat to concave, gathering the stigmas; stigmas generally deltoid but sometimes deeply bifid, topped by an 1-3 mm long, appressed style often overlapping dorso-ventrally in 2(-3) rows.
