This species is widely distributed. It was recorded from Algeria, Australia, Canada, China, DR Congo, Egypt, Galapagos Isl., Iran, Israel, Japan, Pakistan, Panama, Philippines, Taiwan, Türkiye and USA (Beron 2021; Doğan 2022). This is the first record of Ch. bakeri from Vietnam.
