Diagnosis. Gular sutures confluent in anterior part of head length, from confluent point continuing as single, straight, short suture or again separated to two divergent sutures; antennae with 11 antennomeres, antennomeres 5 larger than 4 and 6, antennal club with 3 antennomeres; labrum dentate with anterior margin rectilinear; tarsal formula 3-3-3; aedeagus asymmetric, parameres of different shape, with distal setae.

Remarks. Large genus with 25 valid species names assigned in two subgenera. Five species are known from Italy (Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Puglia), three species from Turkey, all from the province Burdur and 17 species from Greece, 10 from mainland (Epirus, Peloponnese, Teygetos, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace) and 7 from islands (Crete, Kefaloniá, Kérkira, Lefkáda).
