Habitat. In greenhouses (Csuzdi et al. 2007), and pine forests (Szederjesi 2015).

Distribution in the Balkan Peninsula. Greece (South Aegean, Aghios Nek-tarios: Szederjesi 2015)

World distribution. Widespread species in Mediterranean and tropical regions. Also, it has been found in Hungary and Germany (Csuzdi et al. 2007; Rota 2013b). It has been regarded as indigenous to Central America or Central Africa (Blakemore 2008a).
