Subfamily Reduviinae
domesticus Pinto, 1927c: 833; Spiniger (Fig. 51)
Present status: junior synonym of Opisthacidius pertinax (Breddin, 1903); synonymized by Lent &Wygodzinsky (1947b: 353)
Syntypes 1 male, 1 female (n° 2099); Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, Niterói; Pedro Alves col., [no collection date]. Correction: Pinto (1927c) described this species based on specimens of both sexes, immatures and adults, without designating a holotype. Therefore, the specimens above must be considered part of the syntype series, not paratypes as mistakenly stated by Almeida et al. (2014).
seabrai Costa Lima & Leite, 1950: 145; Spiniger (Fig. 66)
Present status: Zelurus seabrai (Costa Lima & Leite, 1950); new combination by Lent & Wygodzinsky (1954: 409, 437)
Syntypes 2 males (n° 5408); [unknown locality]; Dr. C. Seabra col., [no collection date]. UCR_ENT 0 0 0 0 4743. Correction: Costa Lima & Leite (1950) designated four male syntypes (as “cotypes”) for this species. Two of these were mistakenly considered paratypes by Almeida et al. (2014) and two have not been found so far.
