Diagnosis. Forewing length is 10–10.5 mm (wingspan 21–22 mm) in males and 10.5–11 mm (wingspan 22–23 mm) in females. Miltochrista kontumica resembles externally M. obliquilinea, but differs by its slightly smaller size and shorter serration of the postmedial line. The male genitalia are characterised by the long trigonal distal costal process with a pointed tip, the short and robust distal saccular process with a rounded tip, and the aedeagus vesica having several small diverticula medially and two arrowhead-shaped cornuti on the same base. The female genitalia of M. kontumica are characterised by the presence of subostial ligula and the large thick-walled accessory bursae situated postero-laterally.
Distribution. Up to date, M. kontumica is known from Central and South Vietnam only (Quảng Ngãi, Lâm Đồng and Kon Tum Provinces) (Dubatolov & Bucsek 2013; Volynkin et al. 2016).
