Sobarocephala finnilaei Frey, 1918
(Figs 30–40)
The Fernando de Noronha specimens(Figs 30–40)match the redescription of S. finnilaei Frey, 1918 made by Lonsdale & Marshall 2012, which present geographical records in Brazil (S ã o Paulo and Santa Catarina) and Paraguay. The Noronhan specimen differs by a few characters, which we interpret as variations, namely: the body length is smaller, 3.8 mm [versus 5.1–5.4 mm as informed in the redescription]; face light yellow (Fig. 31) [face with lateral margin and parafacial white]; antenna yellow, slightly light brown at the base of the arista (Figs 30, 32) [antenna dark yellow]; scutum with black postsutural notal stripes (Fig. 33) [scutum with postsutural stripes and presutural spots; stripe connected to spot by thin line]; scutellum mainly black with a thin yellow margin laterobasally (Fig. 33) [scutellum entirely brown]; tergites 4 and 5 entirely black (Fig. 33) [tergites 4 and 5 black with small yellow posteromedial emargination]. The terminalia (Figs 35–40) is identical to the figures in the redescription, except for the thumb apparently absent [thumb short and pointed as redescribed by Lonsdale & Marshal (2012)].
