Chilaspis nitida (Giraud, 1859)

Remark: Chilaspis nitida was recently transferred from Dryocosmus (Ács et al. 2007) .

Host plants/gall: Q. cer . (both generations), Q. r. (- s -)—globulars uni- or bilocular galls (5–6 mm Ø) on the underside of the leaves (- a -); grouped galls like a sphere (20–25 mm Ø) on catkins (- s -).

Distribution in Dobrogea: Northern Dobrogea (Brândzӑ, in Ionescu, 1957), Esechioi forest CT county (Şchiopu, herein recorded).
