Host plants/gall: Q. cer .(- a -), Q. pub ., Q. r. (- s -)—monolocular, polyhedral galls (2–3 mm Ø), free but grouped, between cotyledons and the acorn wall (- a -); gregarious cryptic galls strung along under the bark of young branches (- s -).

Distribution in Dobrogea: Amzacea forestry band, the forests—Esechioi and Negru Vodӑ, CT county (Şchiopu, herein recorded).

World distribution: France (Mayr, 1882; Dalla Torre & Kieffer, 1910), Greece (Weld,1939; Pujade-Villar et al., 2002), Andorra (Pujade-Villar, 1994), Italy, Spain, Türkiye (Weld, 1939; Nieves- Aldrey, 1992, 2001; Azmaz & KatılmıŞ, 2017), Hungary and Ukraine (Melika, 2006), Algérie (Pujade-Villar et al. 2010).
