Host plant/gall: Q. cer .—grouped monolocular galls (15–25 pieces) on catkin buds (- s -).

Distribution in Dobrogea: the forests—Canaraua Fetii Natural Reserve, Esechioi, Negru Vodӑ, Şipotele, Neptun (Comorova forest) CT county (Şchiopu, herein recorded).

World distribution: Austria, France, Italy (Sicily) (Dalla Torre & Kieffer, 1910), Iberian Peninsula (Tavares, 1905; Pujade-Villar, 1985; Nieves-Aldrey, 2001), Hungary (Melika et al., 2000), Ukraine (Melika, 2006), Türkiye (KatılmıŞ & Kiyak, 2009), Tunisie (Pujade-Villar et al. 2011).
