Host plants/gall: Centaurea jacea L., C. glastifolia L., C. montana L., C. paniculata L., C. rhenana Bor., C. scabiosa L. (Ionescu, 1973), C. solstiţialis L. (author, herein recorded) ( Asteraceae)—gall in flower heads (achenes).

Distribution in Dobrogea: the villages—Comana, Esechioi, forests—Canaraua Fetii Natural Reserve, „ Fântâniţa”— Murfatlar Natural Reserve, Hagieni Natural Reserve, CT county (Şchiopu, herein recorded).
