Genus Kosmiomiris Kirkaldy, 1902
Kosmiomiris Kirkaldy, 1902: 253; Carvalho, 1959: 321; Carvalho, 1979: 516. Type species: Kosmiomiris rubroornatus Kirkaldy, 1902 (= Capsus lucidus Walker, 1873).
Diagnosis: Recognized from other genera of Hyalopeplini by elongated and oval body, dark brown overall coloration with sanguineous patterns on hemelytra and femora; [labium reaching to abdomen; pronotum dark, strongly convex with deep punctures (Carvalho 1979)]; scutellum tumid; hemelytron partly hyaline with reddish patterns; clavus mostly or partly sanguineous except for anterior part; middle and posterior part of corium with sanguineous line (Figs. 1 A–B); apex of hypophysis of left paramere curved (Figs. 2C, 3C); and the endosoma with two sclerites (Figs. 2 E–F, 3E–F).
