Remarks. Anacroneuria payagua was originally described in Mato Grosso do Sul state (Froehlich 2007), and the present study now expands its distribution to Central Brazil. The species was collected at Serra dos Pireneus and this is a new record for Goiás state. The penial armature of A. payagua is quite characteristic and agrees with the original description (Froehlich 2007). The nymph was described by Righi-Cavallaro & Froehlich (2013).
